My apologies to regular readers of The Drama Teacher who may be wondering why there have not been any new posts on this blog the past few weeks. Feeling a bit like one of my own students who haven’t done their drama homework, I have a good excuse, I promise! My wife and I are now the proud parents of our new little boy, Oscar, born two weeks ago (our first).
For many of you out there in drama teacher land who have ventured into parenthood before me, you will know all too well my life has been turned upside down! Sleep-deprived and time-poor, I have spent recent weeks bonding with my new little man instead of blogging. At least the dog didn’t eat my drama homework. I’ll be back into blog-land very soon!
Congratulations Cashy and welcome to the stage little Oscar! A whole new reason for silly voices and endless role plays…my daughter thinks having a ‘drama’mum is cool – even if Mum is a bit wierd at times….all the best to your family!
All the best Justin. Been on mat. leave myself for 18 months, just applying for some positions to get back into it one day a week. It’s one hell of a ride, that’s for sure. Enjoy!!
Congrats Cashy! Wow! All the best for fatherhood! Post some pics!!
