Next in a week of posts relating to performance art on The Drama Teacher is the emerging duo Clark Beaumont.
Sarah Clark and Nicole Beaumont typify a younger generation of performance artists. The two Brisbane-based Gen Yers are only in their mid-20s and were recently included on a very experienced bill of performance artists at the 13 Rooms exhibition in Sydney.
Much of Clark Beaumont’s work involves multimedia and it is clear these two young artists are at home as part of a screen-based culture. They represent a youthful desire for risk-taking, innovation and experimentation with media technology and the human body.
