The Drum Theatre in Dandenong will be showcasing two excellent shows suitable for drama students this year.
On 29 March, 1 April and 2 April, The Drum will host the only Melbourne performances of Funk It Up About Nothin by Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, which is an ad ‘rap’ tation of The Bard’s famous play Much Ado About Nothing!
On 1-3 September, Namatjira will be showing at The Drum, a new work about Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira. This show recently played to full houses at Sydney’s Belvoir St Theatre and is on the 2011 VCAA VCE Unit 4 Theatre Studies playlist.
